| I feel it is very dangerous for us to go Thursday night with a bunch of questions regarding how NJ Mentor will run this house. What kind of shift the staff will be on and what type of training the staff has is irrelovant. Those kinds of questions assume we are willing to accept this home with the right parameters put in place. Our position should be that we are NOT accepting of this for profit business, we WILL NOT embrace it, and anyone associated with it will be considered a danger to our children and our community. Period. Any questions we have pertaining to NJ Mentor should be phrased in a mannor which will make them look bad. This is being billed as an informational meeting for us. NJ mentor will put their rosy spin on how wonderful this is going to be for our community. They will be well prepared with the right responses to all of those questions we have come up with. The important information that needs to be heard at this meeting should come from us to our politicians about how unnacceptable this is. We will not be tolerant of a for profit organization placing sexual predators/delinquints in our neightborhood, juvenile or otherwise. Thursday night, we should focus our attention on putting the maximum amount of pressure on the politicians present and force them to do whatever it takes to prevent this from happening. We need to let the politicians know that it is unnacceptable and irresponsible to place this type of business in our neighboorhood. The township has attorneys who we as taxpayers are paying for. Lets put them to work for US-for what's in OUR best interest. Jay and Carrie Heine | |

| I agree 100%. I don't think that we should make it look like we are willing to compromise. | |

| I disagree with this position. It appears that there is no legal way to prevent this group home from coming into our neighborhood, therefore the best way to handle it is to get commitments (or their "rosey spin", as you put it) and then document each time they fail so that if there are problems, we will have the amunition to shut them down. I think it's wrong to go into the meeting with a message of fear, hate and intollerance. | |

| I think that we should made it clear to everyone who will be at that meeting that the NJ mentor company has tried to make her sneaky way into our neighborhod and they failed. They never made their intentions known to no one, up until they were pushed into the corner thanks to our efforts and pressure. And I am afraid that this is exactly how they will be acting in the future. One more thing, playing by the rules not always pays off, as it has been proven in many examples, libeality is a great thing but unfortunately not for the majority of us, but mostly for those who are closer to the "plate". we should stand our grounds no matter what they have to say. | |

| Hi Sheri. I hear what you are saying, but possession is 9/10 of the law. Once these people are in, I think we'll have a hard time getting them out. We need to stop them before they take possession by doing our best to make them feel unwelcome. Let them go somewhere else where the neighbors don't care as much as we do. | |

| Agree a tough 0 tolerance stance will serve us best. They will guarantee you everything in the world, once in, they can make the rules up as they go. They will not sign anything that places them at risk. While they will state they are all about the helping of the children, in the end they are about making profit. They need this house to supply beds under a state contract and collect our hard earned tax dollars. No house, not fee, no profit, we win. Make it to hard and they will go to someplace easier. Must stand our ground by all means possible. If they really want to fight, we will lose…the law is on their side…question is how hard and how long are they willing to fight for 8 beds. It may in the end just be easier to move to another location. | |

| I think that it is still a question of whether the law is on their side. According to some of the links I've read here, the law protects mentally disabled, phsically disabled and brain injured people. Behavior is not mentioned as protected. We need to find someone who knows this. | |
